PPF and Petro Carved Rock

Hello PPFers! I think I'm finally done with "Cliff Guardian". I put some detail into the lizard's head and the dwellings. Maybe I will do more later but for now I'm going to say its done.

I started thinking it would be nice to make a larger painting for a tshirt on Zazzle since the first ones were all from ACEOs or straight from the Wacom pad. So I started this sketch of an iguana rock band!

Next week I will start painting it with watercolors...but I couldn't resist goofing around in Photoshop Elements before I put the real paint on. I photographed the sketch as I went along and here's what I did in Photoshop to the lead guitar player before I drew the rest of the band on the paper.

I finally found the bag with some of the carved rocks I did for the Etsy shop a couple years ago. I'm still unpacking from our two major moves,lol. Might still be a while till I get the shop back up but in the meantime I can show ya the rocks from here.

Petroglyphs and PPF

Hello everyone! First of all for PPF this week here is the collared lizard watercolor in progress, " Cliff Guardian". I got a little carried away practicing making watermarks but that became half the fun,lol.

Also I want to share another graphic I did on the Wacom pad for a new Tshirt design (same theme rockin lizards of course!). The new tshirt is available at http://www.zazzle.com/geckoguru?rf=238157499475324454 The tshirt says on it "Reptiles Rock" but this is just a close up of the graphic.

PPF and Bloomington Petroglyphs

Hello!!!! Wow it's been ages since I've done PPF. I missed you all!!!! We are finally moved (agian)!!! First I want to show you the watercolor I've been working on for a long time now. I'll show you little by little so you can see the progress. As you can see, it's another lizard, this time a colorful Collared Lizard looking down at a cliff dwelling ruin!

Since we moved I've also recently opened up a Zazzle shop so I can play around with the Wacom Bamboo pad that Jeff bought me a few years ago. It's really fun! Here is a design I did of a Petroglyph Rock Band!

Last of all I'd like to share with you some petroglyphs we found last Saturday right in the middle of Bloomington at a place called Bloomington  Petroglyph Park. Cool, huh!!!!

Zazzle Store Open Come On In !!!

Hello Everyone !!!! We finally made it to the beautiful Red Rocks of Southern Utah!! And I have to say we are in paradise, I mean hiking, climbing, rock hounding, petroglyph exploring PARADISE!!!! It took us forever to get here but we made it to our new (and hopefully permanent now) home! I thought I'd take advantage of this short time I have (before I find a job,lol) at home to get back to blogland. Ive always wanted to open up a Zazzle store and try designing some things for fun! PPF, We're Moved, and Happy Birthday Stacy!

Hello, I'm back FINALLY!!!!! We are all moved into our new digs. Even though foreclosure is a drag, I have to say we lucked out and found us a nice duplex to rent and the best part is not only do I get to keep my job, but I am now a wonderful 8 minute drive from work which is sheer heaven to me. Sooooooo to celebrate coming back to blogger land and PPF and our new home, I decided to paint an aceo for my dear friend Stacy from Magic Love Crow who has a birthday this month! Happy Birthday Stacy! This little guy will be soaring your way this week! And Happy PPF everyone!!!!!! I missed you all!

PPF, Chinese Dragon and Gem Show

Happy Paint Party Friday everyone! For this week I did a Chinese Dragon since this is the Year of the Dragon. And just for fun I'm including photos of my booty from the Roseville Gem and Mineral Show. Notice the ghost figure on the black stone in the center of the first pic, cool huh!  The second pic is a close up showing the beautiful colors in the labadorite. OK PPFers, party on!!!!!

Froggy for Paint Party Friday

Here's is a little frog aceo for PPF. I cheated and looked at a picture from a mini stain glass craft book. I have to do that to draw anything halfway realistic looking, other wise everything looks like cartoons or petroglyghs, lol. Tomorrow we are going to a gem and mineral show, yipeeeeeeee!
