I've been busy this weekend carving new rocks and thought I'd share the first new one with you! Can you guess where I got the inspiration? Yep, our kissing deer pair! I'm working on an ACEO too for this one. It takes longer to paint than it does to carve, lol. Hope everyone's having a fun holiday weekend. Three days off. yahoooooooo!!!!! Deb
Deb, fantastic!! So cute! I can't wait to see the aceo! It's going to look great! I know it will! Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh Stacy, I soooooooooo admire you even all the more now that I tried an ACEO! How do you do so many of them? It took me all day to do one! I kinda like how it came out though! I'll photograph it tomorrow and hopefully get it here if we don't go out tomorrow!Deb
ReplyDeleteHey Deb this is cool, I love the stonework, I actually paint on rocks sometimes, I must admit I thought carving would have been harder to do (and harder to cover up a mistake LOL) mine I collect from the beach, so they are more like 'skipping' stones... these are wonderfully organic :)
ReplyDeletePS Thank you for including me in you sidebar!!! Much appreciated :) Hugs xoxo
ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome, Shelle! I'm finding it all depends on how hard the rock is. Skipping stones should be great! Use a diamond drill bit to last longer. Thanks for visiting agian! Deb
ReplyDeleteso cool this!x//3' looking forward seeing more of your art,be it on canvas or rock!<3
